On Wednesday, April 3, 2019 the Language Centre was pleased to welcome Dimitris Angelakis, Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, TUC, who gave a lecture entitled "Quantum Computing: An Introduction".

On March 27th the Language Centre was privileged to have Professor Carlo Bicchi from the University of Turin as a guest speaker with his presentation entitled "The Role of Chemical Analysis in Food and Chemical Industry".

On March 20th 2019 the Language Centre was pleased to have Professor Elia Psillakis as our first Spring Semester speaker in our English Talks Series 2018-2019. Her presentation, entitled "Pollution: Are we dead yet?", illuminated the problems our communities face with regard to pollution and discussed possible measures to take in combating these problems.

The Language Centre presents the programme of the English Series Talks for the Spring Semester 2019.

The Language Centre was pleased today to have Professor Konstantinos-Alketas Oungrinis from the School of Architectural Engineering, TUC, give a talk entitled "Art, play, and social empowerment".

On November 28th, the Language Centre was pleased today to welcome Professor George Karatzas from the School of Environmental Engineering, TUC, who gave a talk entitled, "Climate Change and Flash Floods".

The Language Centre presents the programme of the English Series Talks for the Winter Semester 2018-19.

In the Spring Semester of 2018, the Language Centre held a series of talks in English by faculty members of the Technical University of Crete. The themes of the talks covered topics in technology, science, and the environment. The presentations were enthusiastically attended and very well-received by the student audience.
