Prof. George Karatzas at the Language Centre

On November 28th, the Language Centre was pleased today to welcome Professor George Karatzas from the School of Environmental Engineering, TUC, who gave a talk entitled, "Climate Change and Flash Floods".

He presented an overview of both the topic and his own research in the area of developing warning systems against destructive flash floods that have increased not only within Greece but also world-wide as a result of Climate Change. Thank you Professor Karatzas for such an illuminating talk.
