German lesson with Prof. Hans Bernhard Schlumm

Professor of German Language and Literature and Lecturer at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Prof. Hans-Bernhard Schlumm will be a guest lecturer at the Language Center's German classes on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

The meeting will take place in room E1.001 on the ground floor of the Language Center with the kind support of the German Embassy in Athens.

 

Short CV

Hans-Bernhard Schlumm studied Philosophy, German Language and Literature, and Sociology in Frankfurt, Thessaloniki and Paderborn. After completing his studies, he taught at various universities. From 1985 to 1991, he was a lecturer for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the Department of German Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he taught German Literature and Culture. From 1991 to 2015, he taught these courses as a professor at the Ionian University in the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation, where he currently teaches as an emeritus professor. Hans-Bernhard Schlumm has published extensively on German literature and interculturalism. He is author of books on German literature and Greek-German intercultural relations. He currently lives in Corfu.
